Nigeria used to be known as “The Giant of Africa.” This is rightly so because it is the most populous country in Africa and the most populous black nation on earth. Many Nigerians have taken up residence in other countries of the world in order to escape years of corruption and economic mismanagement that has left Nigeria with the largest population of poor people despite been the largest oil producer in Africa.
Nigeria has a large pool of professionals that continue to represent the country well in diaspora. Many of these professionals lived and trained in Nigeria when the infrastructure and educational standards were something to be proud of.
The vision to pray for Nigeria is something that many Nigerians have. Praying for Nigeria is an actualization of that vision. We firmly believe that God has a purpose for creating the entity called Nigeria more than 100 years ago. Much like the Jews who were displaced from their homeland and longed to see God bring revival back to their nation, Nigerians in diaspora desire to see God work to bring real spiritual, political, and economic change to Nigeria today.
We are proud that you have an interest in being a part of this journey as we pray fervently and believe God to make Nigeria a praise in the earth (Isaiah 62:6-7).
